Chester DEF

Welcome to the website of the Chester Diocesan Evangelical Fellowship (CDEF). We are a group of evangelical Christians within the Diocese of Chester, part of the Church of England. Our aim is to unite and encourage Christian believers around the essentials of our faith. We believe that God has spoken in the Bible, about his Son, Jesus Christ. We believe that God has saved us fully through Jesus’ death on the cross in our place, for our sins. We believe that God has sent us into the world in Jesus’ name to proclaim the good news of his death and resurrection. Bible, cross and mission were the key themes of the last national gathering of those who are both evangelical and Anglican (at NEAC 2003). We are committed to their continuing centrality, and welcome all who share them, especially in these troubled times for the worldwide Anglican Communion.

On this website, you can find out more about what we believe, what we do and who we are. You will also find some resources that we hope will be helpful, and finally links to local churches whose ministers are members of CDEF.

If you have stumbled upon us as someone who is unfamiliar with Christianity, we would encourage you to find out more about the Lord Jesus Christ. This link will take you to a short presentation of the good news about Jesus Christ.
